The terms mentioned herein, if not explicitly stated otherwise, have the same meaning as defined in the Skinjuke Terms of Service.

1. PURPOSE

This KYC Policy establishes the principles and procedures that Skinjuke will follow to verify the identity of its users. The objectives of this policy are to:
  • Prevent and mitigate the risk of fraud, identity theft, money laundering, and other financial crimes on our platform.
  • Comply with applicable anti-money laundering (AML) laws and regulations, specifically those in force in the Republic of Estonia.
  • Enhance the security and integrity of our marketplace and the transactions conducted within it.
  • Establish and maintain trust and confidence in our services among our global user base.

2. SCOPE

This policy applies to all users, who register an account or engage in transactions on the Skinjuke.com platform. It outlines the procedures for collecting, verifying, and monitoring user identity information.

3. USER IDENTIFICATION PROCEDURES

Skinjuke will implement the following User Identification Procedures (UIP) at different stages of the user relationship:
  • Account Registration: During the account registration process, all users will be required to provide certain personal information, which may include:
    • Full Legal Name
    • Date of Birth
    • Email Address
    • Phone Number
    • Billing Address
    • Government-issued photo identification details
  • Transaction Thresholds: Additional verification will be triggered based on cumulative transaction values.
    • For cumulative transactions (payments made by a client) exceeding €250 (or its equivalent) per year, additional verification will be required. This may include, but is not limited to, proof of address and identity documentation.
    • For cumulative transactions exceeding €2,000 (or its equivalent) per year, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) will be mandatorily triggered.
  • Suspicious Activity: If any suspicious activity is detected, Skinjuke reserves the right to request further identification documents and information from the user, regardless of transaction amounts.

4. USER DUE DILIGENCE (UDD)

Depending on the assessed risk profile of the user and their transactions, Skinjuke will perform different levels of User Due Diligence (UDD):
  • Standard Due Diligence: For most users, this involves verifying the information provided during registration against internal records and reliable independent sources.
  • Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD): For users identified as high-risk (e.g., based on their jurisdiction, transaction patterns, or other indicators), EDD measures will be applied. This may involve:
    • Requesting additional identification documents (e.g., a clear copy of a government-issued photo ID, a recent utility bill).
    • Verifying the source of funds for large orders or the source of wealth for high-volume users.
    • Conducting more thorough background checks.
    • Implementing ongoing, intensified monitoring of the user's account activity.

5. VERIFICATION OF IDENTITY

To verify the identity of our users, Skinjuke may employ one or more of the following methods:
  • Document Verification: Users may be required to submit clear, electronic copies of valid government-issued identification documents, such as a Passport, National ID Card, or Driver's License. For address verification, a recent Utility Bill or bank statement may be requested.
  • Data Verification: The information provided by the user may be cross-referenced with trusted third-party databases and identity verification services.
  • Transaction Monitoring: We monitor payment patterns for unusual or suspicious activity that may indicate fraudulent behavior.

6. ONGOING MONITORING

Skinjuke will implement ongoing monitoring of all user activity to identify any changes in risk profiles or suspicious behavior. This includes:
  • Tracking payment volumes and patterns.
  • Monitoring login activity and IP addresses for anomalies.
  • Periodically re-verifying user information, especially for high-risk accounts.

7. RECORD KEEPING

All user identification data, verification records, and transaction monitoring information will be securely stored and retained for a period of five (5) years following the termination of the user relationship, or longer if required by Estonian law and applicable regulations.

8. DATA PRIVACY AND SECURITY

Skinjuke is committed to protecting the privacy and security of user data. All personal information collected for KYC purposes will be handled in strict accordance with our Privacy Policy and relevant data protection laws, including the GDPR. We use secure methods for data transmission and storage to prevent unauthorized access.
